Padi Rescue Course

Padi Rescue Course is probably one of the best course in the Padi program. Have you Sometimes been out diving and noticed that someone on the boat was not looking comfortable. Maybe he was messing around with his equipment and taking a long time to get ready for the dive. Did that person later panic ? even though you weren’t even diving with him did you feel a little like you wanted to help or do something to mitigate the problem before it happened? This course will give you the tools and knowledge to help.

The course duration is two to three days during which you as a student is introduced to all the elements of both “self rescue” and “diver” rescues, looking at administration of emergency aid and CPR for dive related accidents.

FAQs About PADI Rescue Course in Pattaya

Here are the most common questions we get from divers, snorkelers, and guests before booking scuba diving in Pattaya and Samaesan with Jomtien Dive Center.

1. What is the PADI Rescue Diver Course?

The PADI Rescue Course teaches you how to spot problems early, help a diver in trouble and handle diving emergencies more calmly. It changes your focus from looking after only yourself to also being more aware of your buddy and the other divers around you.

PADI stands for the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. It is an international diver-training organisation that develops scuba-diving courses, educational materials and certification standards used by dive centres and instructors around the world. Completing a PADI Rescue course earns you a PADI certification that is widely recognised by dive operators internationally.

To join the PADI Rescue Diver Course in Pattaya, you must be at least 12 years old and have either an Advanced Open Water certification or an Adventure Diver certification that includes the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive. You also need current CPR and first-aid training completed within the past 24 months.

The in-water training normally takes around two days after you finish the theory. Earning your Rescue Diver certification may take longer if you also need to complete CPR and first-aid training or prefer to spread the course over several days.

Prices can vary depending on whether your package includes eLearning, equipment, boat trips, certification fees and first-aid training. As with other PADI courses in Pattaya, always check exactly what is included before booking rather than comparing only the advertised price.

The PADI Rescue Course is more challenging than many earlier recreational courses because you need to think, make decisions and act while managing realistic problems. However, your instructor teaches everything step by step, and many divers say it is one of the most enjoyable courses they have taken.

You need CPR and first-aid training completed within the previous 24 months. The Emergency First Response course meets this requirement, but another recognised course may also be accepted if your instructor confirms that it covers the required practical CPR and first-aid skills.

Yes. Many students taking the PADI Rescue Diver Course in Pattaya complete their CPR and first-aid training as part of the same package. This usually adds another training day, so tell the dive centre when booking that you need both courses.

During the PADI Rescue Course, you learn how to help tired or panicked divers, search for a missing diver, bring an unresponsive diver to the surface and manage a diving accident. You also practise self-rescue, better awareness and ways to deal with small problems before they become serious.

Unlike some other PADI courses in Pattaya, Rescue Diver does not have a fixed number of normal training dives. Instead, you complete a self-rescue review, ten rescue exercises and two open-water rescue scenarios, with some skills done underwater and others at the surface.

The PADI Rescue Course includes swimming, towing another diver, removing equipment and helping someone leave the water, so some parts can be tiring. You do not need to be extremely strong, though, because your instructor can show you different techniques based on your size, fitness and the diving environment.

Yes, even when you have no plan to become a professional. A Rescue Diver certification can make you more confident, more aware of what is happening around you and better prepared to help yourself or your buddy when something goes wrong.

Usually, yes. Like many continuing PADI courses in Pattaya, Rescue Diver can accept a qualifying certification from another recognised training organisation, but the instructor must first check your certification level and previous training.

No. Your Rescue Diver certification does not expire, but rescue skills can become rusty when you do not practise them. It is a good idea to refresh your diving and emergency skills after a long break from the water.

During the PADI Rescue Diver Course in Pattaya, the final scenarios bring several skills together in realistic simulated emergencies. You may need to assess the situation, organise help, search for a missing diver or respond to an unresponsive diver while keeping yourself safe.

Yes. When comparing professional and recreational PADI courses in Pattaya, Rescue Diver is the course you need before starting Divemaster training course. Divemaster candidates must also meet requirements for age, logged dives, medical fitness and recent CPR and first-aid training.

The package may include theory, instructor training, rescue exercises, open-water scenarios, equipment, boat trips and certification fees. The Emergency First Response course, accommodation, transfers or personal equipment may be included or charged separately, so check the full package before booking.
