PADI Rescue Course

Rescue Diver training expands the basic problem prevention and accident management skills student divers learn beginning with the Padi Open Water Diver course. At the Rescue Diver level, students are ready to learn to manage more complex dive emergencies and to apply direct intervention techniques to assist others in an emergency. By its nature, the course is demanding, and realistic in its conduct, content and approach. But, although the nature and context in which rescue training may be used It’s still a great and fun course, by the end of this course you will be a more confident and feel in the unlikely event something did happen you would be able to help. Beyond using basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a compass and dive knife or dive tool. You’ll also use specialized gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. For example, you’d obviously use a Compass for the Underwater Navigator Adventure Dive or a side-mount configuration during the Side-mount Adventure Dive. Our PADI Instructors will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as dive light for night diving or lift bag for search and recovery diving. You also need to have Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months. You can complete this training during the Rescue Diver course as we offer various EFR courses at Jomtien Dive Center.
