One-Day Experience

There are a range of Diving 4 kids programs starting from the PADI Bubblemaker program this designed to get your young ones into the water, and to provide them with a fun and a safe SCUBA Diving experience. During the PADI Bubblemaker program your child will have the opportunity to go for a shallow dive, 2 Meters Maximum, with all the equipment used by certified divers. It is the truest dive experience available for young children who are looking to become a real diver by your side.

Who should take this program?

Bubblemaker is as fun as it sounds – a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving. Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water. Have a party or celebrate a birthday by throwing a memorable, exciting Bubblemaker event with friends and family at your local PADI dive shop. A child must be 8 years old or older. Kids must be comfortable in the water, but no prior experience is necessary. Parental approval is required. What will your child learn?

Bubblemakers get a chance to:

  • Experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a PADI Pro.
  • Take their first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres/6 feet.

PADI Seal Team

The PADI Seal Team is for young scuba divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by completing exciting AquaMissions.
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to dive with flashlights, take digital pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut? Beyond learning basic scuba skills, there are specialty AquaMissions, such as wreck diving, navigation, buoyancy, environmental awareness and more. PADI Seal Team includes doing some cool stuff in the pool, meeting friends and sharing in the adventure of the underwater world. 

Who should take this program?

To join the PADI Seal Team, a child must be 8 years of age or older. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but kids should be comfortable in the water. Parental approval is required.

What will you learn?

The PADI Seal Team program teaches responsibility and respect for the aquatic realm. It’s broken into two parts. Part one, AquaMissions 1 – 5, covers basic scuba diving skills, such as breathing underwater, clearing a mask of water, recovering a regulator and swimming around experiencing the sensation of being weightless. Each session takes about an hour. Complete these AquaMissions and become a recognised PADI Seal Team Member. Your experience may also count toward the PADI Open Water Diver course when you’re old enough to participate in the course. Part two, 10 specialty AquaMissions, includes adventures like creature identification, search and recovery diving, and skin diving. Complete all of these and you’ll become a PADI Master Seal Team Member – joining an elite group of young scuba divers.

Junior Open WaterAre the kids a bit older now?  Young people can take the full PADI Open Water Diver scuba certification course and upon completion will become Junior Open Water Divers with certain age limitations for scuba diving. (Junior Open Water Divers ages 10-11 years old must dive with a PADI Professional or certified parent/guardian. Dives must not exceed 12 metres /40 feet. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water. Check with your local dive centre about the gear you’ll use during this course and get advice about everything you need from your PADI Instructor.
